The 'Record Store Day 2019' Official Logo. |
This years releases are so good in my opinion, with RSD 2019 Ambassadors Pearl Jam releasing an unreleased Live Album, another Live release from The Kooks, f*ck the kooks, Elton John, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Ariana Grande, The Ramones, Noel Gallagher, John Lennon, it's stacked. 'I love Record Store Day, it gives us artists a chance to put music out there that otherwise may never see the light of day. I do often utter the phrase "I'll save that for Record Store Day"' - Noel Gallagher. For me, the key releases, and the ones that I'll be after in April, are pictured below.

Green Day - Woodstock 1994 (RSD 2019). |
Green Day Live at Woodstock 94! F*ck! One of Green Day's most legendary gigs and it's the first time it's Officially being released on Vinyl. The show featured a massive mud fight at the end of the set, then everything was abandoned. It's brilliant. You can watch footage of that here. I always remember music channels on TV showing the mud fight when I was a kid, the performance is etched in Green Day history.

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade Is Dead (RSD 2019). |
Next up is My Chemical Romance 'The Black Parade Is Dead!' Live In Mexico! Holy sh*t! MCR's 'The Black Parade' is one of my favourite albums of all time, just like 'American Idiot' it's a Rock Opera and it's just one of the greatest listens ever! I've actually seen performances from this show on Youtube and they're some of the best from that whole tour, so this was a brilliant choice. Please check out 'The Black Parade' if you haven't heard it, it's just great.

Weezer - The Teal Album (2019/RSD 2019). |
Last up is Weezer's 'Teal Album'. This one would be irrelevant to me, but, it's on Teal coloured Vinyl. Come on like that is class. Weezer released this in January, and it's just a covers album featuring Toto's 'Africa' and Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean', it's alright, but the Teal Vinyl is a great touch. I won't be after this one on the day, but the other two, I'll chase them to the end of the earth! I'm so hyped for RSD 2019 now, can't believe some of my absolute favourite bands and albums actually made the cut this year. Thank you for reading.
